Cognitive Abilities

Cognitive Abilities and Traumatic Brain Injury Assessments

Cognitive Abilities and TBI Assessments were designed to provide a solid starting point or “road map” for positive change to neurofunction. Only by determining where an individual’s natural abilities currently are – and then comparing those abilities with where they should be (based on normative databases) can we address the recovering brain and its untapped potential. In other words, is the injured brain recovering to achieve its maximum potential? The brain is the only organ in the human body that is not self healing, but it can re-learn and regain lost abilities with remediation.

These assessments consist of several nationally recognized tests covering multiple skill areas. By combining these comprehensive assessments and screenings, a Report of Findings (ROF) will offer a more detailed picture of each individual’s strengths and weaknesses with regard to how the brain receives, processes, integrates and learns information.

Neuro-diagnostics coupled with cognitive screening assessments result in a very complete overview of brain network interactions, processing and function.
